January 28, 2025: Cashout and a Couple of Surprises

Yesterday, I did another cashout from Prolific and Cloud Research and learned something new.

It turns out that you can only send $100 at a time to PayPal from Cloud Research. If you want to cash out more, you have to send it to your bank.

Quick Note: That $100 on Cloud Research was money that had just come in as payment for a month-long project that I had done a little over two months or so ago. The work took about three to four minutes a day most days. In the future, I will be writing about other such projects that I do from time to time.

As I mentioned in one of our YouTube videos, Prolific used to pay only in Pounds since they are based in Europe. Now some of the researchers pay in US Dollars ($) and some in Pounds (£). The money transferred to my PayPal was:

After PayPal's conversion fee for the pounds and adding the $100 from Cloud Research, I ended up with $654.07 in PayPal.

Of course, I am continuing to play the mobile games that Jamey and I both earn income from. We will both be writing in here and talking about them more on our YouTube channel over time.
